Sketch #27

Hi again... sorry for the lack of sketch last week! I was super busy getting ready for my scrapbook class, and I was also working on my card class for last Tuesday, too! Anyway, I'm back with another sketch, and I did a card for my sample. Enjoy, and link me up if you create something!

card recipe: SU! cardstock (Basic Black, Kraft, Whisper White), Stampin' Write Markers (Rose Red, Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant), ribbon (Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin), Curly Label punch (used to dry emboss and mask stamping on panels), stamps (Pocket Silhouettes and Fresh cuts sentiment) and ink (Kiwi Kiss).

Simply Scrappin' Class!

Tonight is my first Stampin' Up! scrapbook class, and we're using the Simply Scrappin' kits. I love that everything is included and the die-cuts are self-adhesive! I used some stamps for the titles (Schoolbook Serif and Contempo Alphabet) and I also used Upsy Daisy along the bottom of one of my layouts. In this class, I include sketches and instructions for these two layouts as well as a single page layout and another sketch for a double page layout. I might just use some scraps to make some cards too... ;) I used the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' kit, but everyone taking the class pre-ordered a kit of their preference. So here's a sneak peek of two of the layouts (sorry about the not so great merging... I did 12x12 layouts and I'm used to 8.5x11--so much easier to scan!).

other supplies: SU! punches (Notebook, Scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle); Versamark, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive inks. SU! Dimensionals

Shop at Stampin' Up! 24/7!

You can now order Stampin' Up! product 24/7 online! No need to wait for a workshop to order what you need... This is an exciting new feature that you can access through my Stampin' Up! website. Once you're there, click on the "Shop Now" button in the top right corner. It's very easy to navigate, and you still earn hostess benefits (stamps and product) when you have a qualifying order. Anyone in Canada (unfortunately excepting Quebec) can order from my site, and it will be shipped directly to you. Of course if you're local, I'd still love to see you and stamp with you, but it's definitely another convenient way to shop!

To make it even better, the first five people to place an order over $50 will receive a package of hand-stamped cards from me, as well as a cardstock pack or inkpad (your colour choice) as my special gift to you!

Here's the sketch I challenged my newsletter subscriber's with for September... if they show me a card they made with this sketch, they just might get something extra from me! I cheated a little and converted last week's sketch to a card sketch...

card recipe - cardstock: SU! Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and Kraft; paper: SU! Bella Rose DSP; Stamps: SU! Priceless, Organic Outlines; Wonderful Words; SU! scallop edge punch; SU! white grosgrain ribbon (dyed with my kiwi kiss inkpad); SU! Kiwi Kiss Classic inkpad

September BYOM kit

I was lucky enough to visit with Carmen and her family earlier this summer and pick up my September BYOM kit in person! When I saw the Scrapworks Magpie papers, I was in love... and I think my favourite part of the kit turned out to be the double sided Teresa Collins journal paper... or maybe the letter stickers that had 3 different fonts... so hard to decide!

Here's what I've created (so far) with the kit:

You can see the fabulous creations from Colleen, Kelly, Monica, and Shannon in the BYOM September Gallery!

September Red Star Kit

I'm always so excited to open my box from Marcy each month, and this month is no exception! The kit is called Itinerary, and I love the MM chipboard stickers, papers, fabric covered brads and trims, and the other goodies just make it even better! Those rub-ons go on very smoothly and I'm loving circles (again) right now, so I had a lot of fun with those. The stamp had me stumped at first, but once I tried it I loved it too. I still have another thing I want to try with it, so hopefully I have a chance to play with it again soon.

Anyway, on to my layouts:

You can see what Jen, Leigh and Marcy did with the kit here... lots of inspiration as always!
