Sketch #75!

I'm back this week with a two-page 8.5x11 sketch (easily adaptable to a single page or double page 12x12):

and here's my layout:

I love the embossed cardstock (I think you can see it if you click the layout to see bigger) the felt pumpkin, and the 6x6 die-cut papers are perfect for an 8.5x11 scrapper like me who always has to cut down the 12x12 shaped papers...

If you create something with this sketch, I'd love to see it! Link me up in the comments.

Sketch #66

This two page sketch has 8 spots for photos! Feel free to eliminate some, or replace them with blocks of paper... you could also use only the right side as a one page layout. Here's the sketch:

Sketch #57

Sorry this is so late... I've been doing so well getting these posted lately and this one is so far behind! I'm going to do my best to get back on track this Friday.

Here's the 8.5x11 one page sketch:

and my layout (using the May MSS kit again):

This layout is for an album I'm making for my sister, so I've left room for her to journal.

May Red Star Kit - Happy-Go-Lucky

This is the May Red Star Kit... a mix of Making Memories Just Chillin', Pink Paislee (fascinating, fetching & enchanting) and Jillibean Soup papers, MM tags, Pink Paislee alpha stickers, WR Memory Keepers embossed stickers, Jenni Bowlin journaling stickers, Chatterbox wood brads and a fun Red Star Studio stamp!

I've made another flower pot card for Mother's Day with this kit:

and this layout for last week's sketch.

You can see what Jen, Leigh and Marcy have done with this kit by checking out the May gallery! If you'd like to be a guest designer for Red Star Kits for June, check out the details here.

May BYOM Kit

This month Krystn put together two kits for BYOM members to choose from! They are both mostly My Mind's Eye Penny Lane. This is the main kit:
and this is the girly kit (the one I picked):

Here's what I created with the kit:

This layout is based on the fab sketch Kelly created for the monthly challenge:

I love the colours in this kit, and loved working with it! You can see what the rest of the Design Team did with this kit (and the main kit, too) by going to the May DT Gallery.

Sketch #53

Here's this week's sketch (one page 12x12):

and my layout (using the April MSS kit again):

you can't really tell in the photo, but after I stamped the damask image with ink, I spread Stickles over top of the stamped area... love the way it looks IRL. If you create something, I'd love to see it! Link me up in the comments!

Sketch #52

I can't believe I forgot to post this last Friday... I had it ready, but it totally slipped my mind... here's the sketch (a two-page sketch designed for the BYOM April Kit newsletter):

April Red Star Kit!

Check this kit out! I love the chipboard words and trees, and the stamp is fun and versatile this month! Those Doodlebug alpha stickers might be my favourite right now. Add to that a fun mix of papers (Fancy Pants, Pebbles, Little Yellow Bicycle) and a great mix of embellishments, and you get the "Everyday" April kit.

Here's what I've done so far... I have a card and another layout in progress.

MSS is having an online crop this weekend, so if you're in the mood to scrap and want some challenges to inspire you, make sure you check it out!

April BYOM kit!

After a few months off due to shipping delays, I'm happy to be working with the April BYOM kit again! This month, the kit is Basic Grey Marrakech papers and expoxy brads, mixed with some AC thickers (love this font, and grey was fun to work with for a change), Heidi Swapp acrylic clocks and hands and various other goodies...
Here's what I created:

I did the sketch challenge this month, and I went with a two-pager. The last layout is my layout for this sketch.

Sketch #48

Friday's don't seem to be working out so well for sketches lately... I'll keep trying, but may switch the day if I can't do it. Here's the latest sketch:

I did a layout and a card with this sketch. The card was inspired by Kristina Werner's Colour Inspiration #44 (Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa) and is a card for a swap with Anne (sorry it's not sent yet!). I used the Big Shot to make the scalloped oval frame and the butterfly, and then used the Texturz Plate to add the embossed dots to the butterfly. I gently rubbed the inkpad over the embossing to highlight it. I used the Central Park stamp set for the clear embossed flower and the tone on tone background stamping.
I used the March MSS kit for my layout, and added some Prima flowers, some butterflies (fabric and felt) cut with my Big Shot, assorted brads and buttons and some stamped butterflies. This layout was also for Leigh's 'Pile it On' challenge at the MSS crop this weekend. Anyone who is familiar with my usual pages will know what a stretch all these embellishments are!

Anyway, I love this sketch and hope it inspires you! Please add a link if you create something!

March Kit @ MSS!

This kit is called "Eight Days a Week" and has so much to love in it!

I created the layout in the post below, as well as these two layouts... I still have lots of stuff left, and have at least another layout and a card or two in the planning stages, so you might see those in upcoming posts! The owl stamp Marcy designed is super cute, and I had fun paper piecing it for my "Finding Balance" layout and colouring it for my "Razzle Dazzle" layout (named for the cupcake store the cupcakes came from... highly recommended!). Those sparkly alpha stickers from KI Memories might be my new favourite alpha! I didn't even run out of Z's! Anyway, on to the layouts:

Home is where the Heart Is...

I love the name of the February kit @ MSS! Believe it or not, I didn't even know that was the name of the kit when I made my "Home is..." layout.

Check out the kit:

January Holly Jolly kit (MSS)

This month's Red Star Kit is called "Holly Jolly" and it screamed Christmas to me. I used it to get some past Christmas' scrapped! I still have some left for this year too... love how full these kits are! Here's a picture of the kit...

And here are my layouts (and one card):

You can see what Jen, Leigh, Marcy and Valerie did with the kit here!
