Whatever Wednesday - February Technique Card

On Whatever Wednesdays, I share whatever is inspiring me, and hope you'll be inspired as well.

This weekend is my monthly Technique Class, and I was inspired to use my Watercolor Wonder crayons. They are great for water colouring, but there are a few different ways to use them, so I thought I'd showcase them this month. On this card I used another inspiration - my new Sweet Summer stamp set that I got for free during Sale-a-Bration (you can too!). I roughly coloured with the Watercolor Wonder crayons, then blended with my VersaMarker. Because I used the VersaMarker, I could then emboss my coloured images using Clear Stampin' Emboss powder. It's hard to see in the picture (maybe click on it to make it bigger), but the images are shiny and very pretty in real life.

If you'd like to make this card (plus one other and a technique reference card) be sure to register for one of my Technique Classes this weekend... I have three times available.

Stamps: Sweet Summer, Define your Life, Silhouette Sentiments
Inks: Pretty in Pink, StazOn Jet Black, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Naturals White
Other: Brights Patterns DSP pack, Brights Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Neutrals Watercolor Wonder Craysons, VersaMarker, Clear Stampin' Emboss powder, Brights Buttons, Linen Thread.
