Sketch #51

I have a card sketch this week, but it could easily be a layout too... definitely a simple layout, but I like those. ;)

Here's my card...

This is the second card we did last week at my monthly Stampin' Technique class. I was featuring the Stampin' Pastels, and I used the chalkboard technique (stamped on black cardstock with Whisper White Craft Ink, then used the Sponge Daubers and Stampin' Pastels to add colour to the script stamp). I also used Blender Pens and Stampin' Pastels to colour the flower image... I have better luck with this on smaller images, so this flower was perfect!

Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #1

I'm late, but here's my card for Dawn's Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #1:

supplies (all SU!): cardstock (Tangerine Tango, Pink Passion, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White), Stamps (Fifth Avenue Floral, Oval All - Occasions Mini), inks (Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango--rubbed on the texture plate before embossing the Apricot Appeal cs), Blender Pen, Pink Passion Stampin' Write Marker, Scallop Oval Punch (Occasions Mini - available April 1st), 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon.

Here are some cards I've made using the Sale-a-Bration freebies... this one (a CASE of a card in the SAB mini) uses Polka Dot punches and Delicate Dots paper. I used the Poppin' Pastels technique to create the soft background and coloured the stamped images with Stampin' Pastels and cotton swabs. The sentiment is from Fresh Cuts stamp set. This set is fun because all of the images co-ordinate with a punch (I used the 1 1/4" circle punch, 5 petal flower punch and the Scallop Circle punch)

This one is a CASE of Maryalsostamps' card and uses FOUR Sale-a-Bration Freebies! Delicate Dots paper, Botanical Blooms stamp set, Congrats stamp set and the Certainly Celery poly-twill ribbon from the Ribbon bundle. I also used my Big Shot Tope Note die and the Poppin' Pastels technique again. This was one of the cards we did Sunday night for my Technique Club. I showcased four techniques using the Stampin' Pastels...

Soft Summer Projects from London Regionals

Soft Summer is a stamp set coming in the Occasions Mini (Available April 1st) and we used it for three projects at Regionals! I think all of these are very pretty, and they were easy too!

Let me know what you think of this set! The bottom project holds a bag filled with treats, and also uses the Simple Flower Embosslit and the yummy new corduroy brad.

Regional Swap cards

Here are the rest of the cards I made to swap at Regionals!

This is the one I had to "fix" a few of and came up with the card for my sketch challenge... I didn't get the owl stamped right, and had to cover it up (after stamping more stems in other colours).

Sketch #49

Tomorrow (err... today) is the Stampin' Up! Regionals in London (yay for the hometown advantage) and ever the procrastinator I'm finishing up my swaps... so I decided to work the sketch into one of my cards. I'll share the rest of my swap cards next week... I'm not one for making them all the same, and some evolved from boo-boos. I ended up with 30 cards in four designs. Anyway, here's the sketch:

This card evolved from a botched stamping job (I'll show you what I messed up next week). So I covered it up with the Very Vanilla panel and mounted it all on a Pacific Point card base.
