Masked Triple Treat Card - March Stepped Up Class

This is one of the cards we're making in my Stepped Up Cards class this weekend...

It uses two stamps that you can get for free with a $60.00 order until March 31st (Triple Treat Flower & Kindness Matters) as well as two wheels (Very Vintage and Music Notes). I masked off the sections with Post-it notes, sponged inside, then stamped (or wheeled) with the same colour. I covered the seams with ribbons and card stock cut with the Tasteful Trim die. The Triple Treat flower can be punched with both the Fancy Flower punch and the 5-Petal Flower punch, so I stamped it twice with different colours, then punched and layered the flowers. I added a Pool Party Polka Dot brad to finish it off.

Spotlighting - Up in the Air

This is one of the cards from February's Stepped Up Cards class and features the Spotlighting technique.

I saw this card by Maile Belles, and had to try it with the Up in the Air stamp set... I stamped the image three times (inked with markers)... once on the card base, one to punch with the 2 1/2" Circle, and one to punch with the three smaller circle punches. I lined up the images and attached them to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamps: Up in the Air, Friendly Phrases
Inks: Island Indigo
Stampin' Write Markers: Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist
card stock: Naturals White
Punches: 2 1/2" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1" Circle, 3/4" Circle
Other: Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, Basic Rhinestone

Simply Scored Diagonal Plate

Stampin' Up! has introduced the Diagonal Plate to be used with the Simply Scored tool, and it is available now (item #125586 - $15.95)! This tool allows you to make custom envelopes easily, as well as boxes and diagonal score lines for techniques and fun fold cards. It fits right on top of the Simply Scored tool, and has 1/8" score lines. Stampin' Up! has created a video showing how it works and how to make envelopes with it.

Frosted Window Elements of Style

This card is from my Quickie class @ UWO (from January), and features the Frosted Window technique. I also showed this technique in my January Stepped Up Card Class (and created another card).

Basically, you stamp an image on vellum (I like the cardstock vellum) and also on a light card stock (I used Naturals White). Then you colour with darker colours (Rose Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight) on the card stock layer, and lighter colours (Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose) on the back of the stamped vellum. You can blend colours together with the markers, or a Blender Pen. Then you line up the coloured images, and attach the vellum layer over the card stock layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add a frame (cut with my Labels Framelits) and a sentiment and call it done!

Stamps: Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Staz On Jet Black, Old Olive
Card Stock: Naturals White, Old Olive, Vellum card stock
Other: Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Labels Framelits
Stampin' Write Markers: Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose
