Valentine Class!

My first class for 2009... Valentines! We'll make five valentines (two hold chocolate) and a box to hold them. When the Valentines have been given away to your special friends, you can fill the box with Kisses or other small candy. I love the Big Shot scalloped envelopes made into this cute little box! I used the Big Shot to make the Petal cards for the chocolate too. We'll be using the Love you Much stamp set and Candy Lane papers.
Sunday February 8th @ 7:00pm
$10.00 (including chocolate!)
Please register by Saturday February 7th.
please e-mail for more details!

Home is where the Heart Is...

I love the name of the February kit @ MSS! Believe it or not, I didn't even know that was the name of the kit when I made my "Home is..." layout.

Check out the kit:

Sketch #43

Another 12x12 sketch for this week:

I created a card using Botanical Blooms (A SAB set--free with a $60 purchase!):

This card is a sneak peek of a card we'll be making at my New Catalogue/Sale-a-Bration Open House this weekend! I've got lots of prizes, lots of sample cards and we'll make cards using new products (from the Spring/Summer IBC and the Sale-a-Bration brochure). If you're in London, ON and you'd like to come here are the details:

Sunday February 1st
3:00 pm or 7:00 pm
e-mail me (see sidebar) for my address
bring a friend for an extra ballot!

Quick share of a quick card...

I like to include a little thank you note with my orders as I hand them out, and for obvious reasons they need to be quick and easy. I am totally in love with this thank you note using Botanical Blooms from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue (free with a $60 order starting February 1st). I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the stamps, but I made a bunch of these in just a few minutes.

I'd better get working on my sketch and layout for tomorrow!

New Catalogue, new look!

I decided it was time for a blog facelift, and was inspired by the Manhattan style from the new catalogue... I'd love to hear what you think!
As promised, here are a couple cards using new sets from the new catalogue! The first one uses a single stamp ~ Elegant Thank You (make sure you check out the very last page of the catalogue... there are some great single stamps to add sentiments and images you might need).

I wanted to keep the focus on the stamp, so I did some dry embossing, heat embossing and sponging.

This card uses the beautiful Level 2 Hostess Set, Echoes of Kindness. More heat embossing and blender pens with markers to colour the images (I scribble the markers on a stamp case, then pick up with the blender pen).
